TEKWORX customized City Impulse’s entire network and machines. Here’s a look at the completed work.

This is the President’s workstation. A Dell Studio XPS 8100 Core i7 and fully customized and tailored to his business.

The COO’s workstation. To stay mobile, a Dell Latitude E6400 is used. Tailored and customized to the business. Custom wallpaper was also created by TEKWORX. A 42 inch Samsung HD TV was hung (per request) for new customer presentations.

Two developers were brought on board to manage – design, web sites, and overall company development. Some horsepower was needed. Two Studio XPS 435T/9000 Core i7 machines were used. Packed with Windows 7 Ultimate and tweaked to get the maximum performance out of both machines.

Employee workstation one. Dell OptiPlex 780 machines were used. Tailored for the employee, the machine has full features but is able to be monitored and controlled by IT Administrator.

Customer opted for Comcast VOIP. TEKWORX wired in a central hub and energized all phone jacks. Old system to the right, new clean and up-to-date system in the center.

Customer opted to go with a small network and keep the control from a central machine. A Netgear JGS524 24port Gigabit Switch was used. The Cat 5e cable were already present and we utilized what was there to save the customer any added expense.

Customer opted to go with a smaller and economical storage back-up NAS. A Dlink DNS-323 was used with two mirrored Western Digital Red 2TB drives. Permissions were set for only Administrators to access. The workstations had a scheduled backup to the NAS.

Initial placement of the centralized WiFi Router. Once finalized, cables were routed inside the wall.

Finally, a 52 inch HD LED TV was hung in the main entrance. With network capabilities, presentations or just normal TV can be viewed for all customers entering the building. Once finalized, all cables were routed in the wall.
