Southeast Woodcrafters, Inc.

TEKWORX had worked on Prakas & Co.’s (South Florida’s Leading Restaurant Broker) network and their computers. We were then referred to Southeast Woodcrafters, Inc.

They have been having problems with their network and machines for a long time now. They came to us explaining that they have had a tech company there to fix these issues with really no resolution. After evaluating the situation, simply put….their whole system was just a mess!

Example….This is what they were left with. Time for Texworx to step in…

As you can also see, incorrect punch of the patch panel. All connections should be tight to the punch and neatly tied.

We used all the same Cat5e cables from in-wall. We cut all new custom length Cat5e to connect from the patch panel to the switches.

They were using two out dated 10/100 switches. Only reason being that both switches had bad ports in some modules. Which is why we stressed to them to upgrade their switch to a new D-Link DGS-1024D Green 24 port Gigabit switch. For some reason, the original tech company had both Prakas Co. and SE Woodcrafters on the same network. This was really a mess.

Now, both Prakas & Co. and Southeast Woodcrafters are on separate networks. And after complete setup and tweaking their machines are running at 7ms and full speed at around 30+ MB/s down and 6MB/s up.

Much better….and happier customer.
